A biopic about late Who drummer Keith Moon is set to begin filming this summer. According to Variety, the film is titled The Real Me – and both Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will serve as executive producers. Daltrey has been pushing for a Keith Moon movie since the early 2000’s – long before 2018’s Bohemian Rhapsody kicked off the current rock biopic craze.
The movie has not yet been cast, but it will be directed by The Crown’s Paul Whittington, with a script by Jeff Pope. Keith Moon died from a drug overdose in 1978, at the age of 32.
What other rock stars would make a great movie?
